RONA LOFT
|
NEW YORK, NY
This project combines the top floor of a Murray Hill brownstone with a new penthouse level, forming a duplex apartment. Entry begins at the lower, sleeping level, beneath a double height space roofed with a 13' x 7' skylight. Guests proceed up a bronze and glass lined stair to an open living/dining level with majestic views of the Chrysler Building. The bronze detailing continues in handrails and guardrails, and in 9 foot tall, in-swinging doors opening to the rear garden. All cabinetry is made of American walnut, with bronze inset pulls. Pocket passage doors are edged with solid walnut and inset with special "double circle" bronze pulls. |
