RAMIS BARQUET GALLERY
|
NEW YORK, NY
This is a street front gallery on the ground floor of a new residential building. The gallery is organized around four rooms of varying scales. Each room has a "halo" above it, defining its upper bound, and providing a small soffit for lighting. Minimal woodworking is visible, including a reception desk, shelving, and a demount-able railing at the entry door, acting as a guardrail for a shallow ramp down to the space. The woodwork is American walnut, with formed aluminum hardware. |
